Ahmadu Bello University Civil Engineering Class of 1991 has donated a bus to the institution.
The bus, a Toyota Sienna 2002 Model, was formally presented to the Director, Directorate of University Advancement, Prof Ahmed Doko Ibrahim, today.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Kabir Bala, witnessed the presentation after which he inspected the bus and thanked the Class for the gesture.
Donating the vehicle at a brief ceremony at the Directorate, the Coordinator of Class of '91 Civil Engineering, Engr Bello M Mai, explained that the bus was presented for use at the Department of Civil Engineering.
The Coordinator used the occasion to advise the University on the need to open up many business enterprises as a source of revenue generation, saying it was high time for the institution to begin mass production of bottled water through its Consultancy firm.

Receiving the vehicle on behalf of the University for onward delivery to the Department of Civil Engineering, the Director, Directorate of University Advancement, Prof Ahmed Doko Ibrahim, thanked the donors and assured that the bus would be put into good use.
The Director informed the former students of the Civil Engineering Department that the University would soon launch an endowment for its sustainability.
Prof Ibrahim also assured that they would be duly notified online when the time came.
On the advice that the University should venture into various enterprises for survival, the Director said institution had a bakery established to boost its revenue sources.
The Head, Department of Civil Engineering, Dr Jibrin Mohammed Kaura, led the 1991 Class members to the Directorate for the vehicle presentation.
Other members present at the donation were Engr Ashiru Muhammad, Engr Zubairu Abubakar, Engr Peter Habila Bonet, and Engr Ibrahim Aliyu. They also included Engr Muazu M Atiku, Usman Mohammed, and Abdulmumin A Shuaibu.
