FUNAAB Civil Engineering and Entry Requirements
Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is one of the universities where Civil Engineering is taught as a programme in Nigeria. 

The Department of Civil Engineering at FUNAAB teaches the course to train students on how to design, build and maintain infrastructures with minimum budget without jeopardising the safety of the users and in such a way to beautify the environment.

Civil Engineering at Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB)  is a fiver (5) years programme on full time study mode to those admitted to 100 level leading to the award of  Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Civil Engineering.

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements for the holders of ordinary level (O'level) results.

Credit passes in five subjects which must include:
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • English Language and 
  • Biology
The five credit passes must be at not more than two sitting from one or two of the following qualifications:

  • West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
  • Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE)
  • General Certificate of Education (GCE O'level) or
  • NABTEB 

Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)

O'level result holders must sit for, pass and make the cut off mark for JAMB coordinated UTME.

JAMB Subjects Combination

  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • English Language

Post UTME

Applicant to study for the undergraduate degree Civil Engineering with O'level result must also sit for, pass and make the cut off mark for the FUNAAB coordinated post UTME screening.

Pre-Degree Programme.

Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta accept it's organised pre degree results to 100 level of the Civil Engineering course.

Direct Entry (Holders of the Higher Qualifications)

General Certificate of Education Advance Level (GCE A'Level): two passes in Mathematics and Physics.

National Diploma (ND): upper credit Civil Engineering or other relevant engineering courses i.e Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering

Higher National Diploma (HND): same as above, may be considered to 300 level.

Civil Engineering at Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is accredited by the Council of the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN)
