The Department of Mechatronics Engineering is teaching this course to graduate students with great ability to transform the country industries especially agricultural sector by making it more automated.

Studying Mechatronics Engineering at FUNAAB lasted a duration of five (5) on full time study mode to those admitted to 100 level of the programme.
Entry Requirements
Holders of ordinary level (O'level) results.
Credit passes in five subjects which must include:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- English Language and
- Biology
The five credit passes must be at not more than two sitting from one or two of the following qualifications:
- West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
- Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE)
- General Certificate of Education (GCE O'level) or
- NABTEB
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
O'level result holders must sit for, pass and make the cut off mark for JAMB coordinated UTME.
JAMB/UTME Subjects Combination
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- English Language
Post UTME
Applicants to study for the undergraduate degree Mechatronics Engineering with O'level result must also sit for, pass and make the cut off mark for the FUNAAB coordinated post UTME screening.
Pre-Degree Programme.
Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta accept it's organised pre degree results to 100 level of the Mechatronics Engineering course.
Direct Entry (Holders of the Higher Qualifications)
- General Certificate of Education Advance Level (GCE A'Level): two passes in Mathematics and Physics.
- National Diploma (ND): upper credit Mechatronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or other relevant engineering courses.
- Higher National Diploma (HND): same as above, may be considered to 300 level.
- Applicants with higher qualifications must also posses O'level result as stated above.
Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechatronics Engineering is awarded to students on successful completion of the programme.
Mechatronics Engineering at Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is accredited by the Council of the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN)
