Study Diploma Electrical Electronics Engineering South Africa

While Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a taught course at almost all universities in South Africa but not many of them award Diploma qualifications in the programme.

Awarding a Diploma qualification in engineering courses is traditionally the right of the University of Technology in South Africa and not many of them awarded it in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Listed below are the universities where students can study for a Diploma and Advance Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in South Africa. The list consist only the institutions accredited by the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and which are deemed to have met the Educational Requirement for Registration as a Candidate and Professional Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technician.

All Diploma programmes take up to minimum of three (3) years: two (2) years of attendance at the University together with one (1) semesters of appropriate work integrated learning to be completed while the Advance Diploma study take just only a year to be completed, both on full time study mode.

Awarding National Diploma (ND) in all courses is being phase out and so in the near future there will be no new awarding of National Diploma in any course.
