Polymer and Textile Engineering is a discipline that work to create new or improve the existing plastic and textile materials. It is a domain of Petrochemical Engineering but with a focus on plastic and textile materials.
The Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) is one of the two universities that are teaching the programme in Nigeria. Other varieties of this discipline are Polymer Engineering and Chemical & Polymer Engineering.

Direct Entry Applicants
- GCE A'Level: good pass in two A'Level subjects which must be Physics/Chemistry and Mathematics
- JUPEB: good grade in Physic, Chemistry and Advance Level Mathematics
- IJMB A'Level: good points enough to be considered for admission
- National Diploma (ND): Upper Credit in relevant engineering programme.
- Higher National Diploma (HND): lower or upper credit in relevant engineering programme.
