National Diploma Minimum Entry Requirements
Five O'level Credit passes which must include:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry and any two of the following:
- Biology/Agricultural Science
- Technical Drawing
- Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity
- Auto Mechanics
- Metal Work
- Further Mathematics
- Food and Nutrition
- Geography
- A pass in English Language is accepted.
Or otherwise
- At least passes in Chemistry,
- Biology/Agricultural Science/Food
- Nutrition and
- A credit pass in English Language.
The five credit passes must be from not more than two sitting from one or combination of two of the following O'level examination qualifications:
- West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE)
- Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE)
- General Certificate of Education (GCE O'level) or
- NABTEB
JAMB's Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination
You must sit for, pass and make the polytechnic cut off mark from JAMB coordinated Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and post UTME screening exercise.

- Mathematics
- Physics/Technical Drawing
- Chemistry or any one Science subjects and
- English Language
HND Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology
Study for Higher National Diploma (HND) in Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO) eligible students to course options in:
- Farm Power and Machinery
- Soil and Water Engineering and
- Post Harvest Technology
HND Entry Requirements
The entry requirements to study Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology at RUGIPO are:
- National Diploma: Minimum of Lower Credit in Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Science and other related programmes.
- Evidence of mandatory one year post-ND students Industrial work scheme (SIWES) must be presented.
- A pass in relevant engineering programmes are accepted but with work experience not lesser than two years.
- O'level results as stated above must be presented.
