Abia State Polytechnic, School of Engineering Technology only offers four programmes among which is Computer Engineering Technology.
The school applied hand-on work to teaching and learning, imparting their students with skill needed to excel as Computer Engineering technicians and technologist able to work efficiently in the area of computer hardware design, installation and repair and in the area of software development with little or no supervision.

ND Computer Engineering Entry Requirements
Department of Computer Engineering, Abia State Polytechnic accept minimum of five (5) credit passes in the following O'level subjects:

The five subjects must be at not more than two sittings from one or two of the following:
- West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE)
- Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE)
- General Certificate of Education (GCE O'level) or
- NABTEB
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
An applicant to study Computer Engineering must make a satisfactory score in JAMB coordinated UTME and post-UTME screening for the Department of Computer Engineering, Abia State Polytechnic.

HND Computer Engineering Entry Requirements
- All applicant for HND Computer Engineering must satisfy minimum entry requirement for ND programme as stated above.
- National Diploma (ND): minimum of lower credit with CGPA not lesser than 2.50
- Prove of completion of mandatory one (1) year post-ND industrial training.
- ND with pass not lesser than CGPA 2.00 and with industrial work experience not lesser than two years.
- Transcript from former school if an applicant is not from Abia State Polytechnic.
Note: ND and HND Computer Engineering run for a minimum duration of two years (4 semesters) each and maximum duration of four (4) years (8 semesters)
