ND Electrical and Electronics Engineering Entry Requirements
Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology, Abia State Polytechnic accept minimum of five (5) credit passes in the following O'level subjects:

The five subjects must be at not more than two sittings from one or two of the following:
- West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE)
- Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE)
- General Certificate of Education (GCE O'level) or
- NABTEB
- Abia State Polytechnic accept pre-ND result provided it meet minimum requirement.
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
An applicant to study this programme must make a satisfactory score in JAMB coordinated UTME and post-UTME screening for the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Abia State Polytechnic.

HND Electrical and Electronics Engineering Entry Requirements
- All applicant for HND Electrical and Electronics Engineering must satisfy minimum entry requirement for ND programme as stated above.
- National Diploma (ND): minimum of lower credit with CGPA not lesser than 2.50
- Prove of completion of mandatory one (1) year post-ND industrial training.
- ND with pass not lesser than CGPA 2.00 and with industrial work experience not lesser than two years.
- Transcript from former school if an applicant is not from Abia State Polytechnic.
Note: ND and HND Electrical and Electronics Engineering run for a minimum duration of two years (4 semesters) each and maximum duration of four (4) years (8 semesters)
