An applicant must make UTME and post-UTME screening cut off mark for the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering COOU.

Direct Entry Requirements
- GCE A'Level: good passes in three subjects which must be Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
- National Diploma (ND): COOU accept lower credit in relevant engineering programmes
- Higher National Diploma (HND): lower credit in relevant fields of engineering.
- JUPEB: good grade in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
