COOU Entry Requirements for Mechanical Engineering 

Credit passes in five (5) O'level subjects at not more than two sittings from one or two of the following: 

  • WASSCE 
  • NECO SSCE 
  • GCE O'level
  • NABTEB


WAEC Subjects Combination

  • Mathematics 
  • Physics 
  • Chemistry 
  • English Language  and any other science subjects 
  • Technical Drawing 
  • Further Mathematics 
  • Biology 
  • Agricultural Science 

JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination 

An applicant must make UTME and post-UTME screening cut off mark for the Department of Chemical Engineering COOU.

  • English Language 

Direct Entry Requirements 

  • GCE A'Level: good passes in three subjects which must be Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry 
  • National Diploma (ND): COOU accept lower credit in relevant engineering programmes
  • Higher National Diploma (HND): lower credit in relevant fields of engineering. 
  • JUPEB: good grade in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
