Listed below are the minimum O'level requirement to study for National Diploma (ND) Computer Engineering at RUGIPO.
WAEC Subjects Combination
Five O'level Credit passes which must include:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry and any two of the following:
- Biology/Agricultural Science
- Technical Drawing
- Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity
- Auto Mechanics
- Metal Work
- Further Mathematics
- Food and Nutrition
- Geography
- A pass in English Language is accepted.
Or otherwise
- At least passes in Chemistry,
- Biology/Agricultural Science/Food
- Nutrition and
- A credit pass in English Language.
The five credit passes must not be from more than two sitting from one or combination of two of the following O'level examination qualifications:
- West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE)
- Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE)
- General Certificate of Education (GCE O'level) or
- NABTEB
JAMB's Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination
You must sit for, pass and make the polytechnic cut off mark from JAMB coordinated Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and post UTME screening exercise for the Department of Computer Engineering.
Jamb Subjects Combination
- Mathematics
- Physics/Technical Drawing
- Chemistry or any one Science subjects and
- English Language
HND Computer Engineering Entry Requirements
The entry requirements to study HND Computer Engineering at RUGIPO are:
- National Diploma: Minimum of Lower Credit in Computer Engineering or other relevant programmes.
- Evidence of mandatory one year post-ND students industrial attachment.
- A pass in computer engineering from Rufus Giwa Polytechnic (RUGIPO) is accepted but with work experience not lesser than two years.
- O'level results as stated above must be presented.
