The College of Biomedical Engineering Technology was established in with aim to train low and medium skill manpower. It form one of the ten colleges that make up the Rivers State College of Health Sciences and Management Technology. 


Admission Requirements 

School of Biomedical Engineering, RSCHST accept the following: 

Credit passes in five relevant subjects not more than at two sittings at O'level: 

  • Mathematics 
  • English Language 
  • Chemistry 
  • Biology 
  • Physics
The five credit passes could be from one or two of these following O'level examination qualifications: 

  • West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) 
  • NECO Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) 
  • General Certificate of Education (GCE) O'level and 
  • National Business and Technical Education Board (NABTEB) or WAEC Technical

JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)

Admission to the Rivers State College of Health Sciences and Management Technology (RSCHST) is through JAMB and so, it is required that students must score the minimum cut mark for the JAMB coordinated UTME.

  • English Language
