The prize was awarded to Dr. Ross an Assistant Professor of Chemistry in recognition of her outstanding works and contributions in her field of studies. She was among the 118 recipients pick from about fifty universities across US and Canada for the 2022 Sloan Research Fellowship.
Ross a bioanalytical chemist with expertise in neurochemistry, microfluidics immunology, ex vivo experimentation and electrochemistry was the only one picked from the University of Cincinnati and the first to receive the prize from the institution since started.
The $75000 prize is expected to be used on choice research project within a two years period.
Ross is a PhD degree holder in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Virginia. Her research interests focus on developing methods to probe brain-immune communications and methods for quantifying neurotransmitters.
