Manya Ghobadi Announced One of the Winners of Sloan Research Fellowship

A faculty member in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Laboratory, Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS)
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has been honour with Sloan Research Fellowship.

The person, Manya Ghobadi an Assistant Professor of Computer Science was announce among the winners of the 2022 edition of the fellowship for her excellent work and contribution to the development of computer science. 

Manya whose research interests span high performance cloud infrastructure, Large-Scale Reconfigurable Networks, Hardware-Software Co-design,
Networks for Machine Learning, Data Center Networks, Optical Network and Network Optimization, was among 118 winners selected from about 50 universities in US and Canada for the prestigious award. 

Winning Sloan Research Fellowship afforded her access $75,000 in grant for the support of her research work over a period of two years. 

Sloan Research Fellowship is funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and is target at PhD holders, scholars and researchers in seven important fields of studied which are: earth system science, computer science, mathematics, physics, neuroscience, economics and chemistry. 

Manya is one of the seven (7) recipients of the fellowship from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (7). The institution has the largest representative on the list of the winners. 

Over the years, Manya has earned various recognition for her wonderful works in her chosen field of studies and this include but not limited to: 

National Science Foundation (NSF) career award 2020 and 
Best paper awards at the ACM Digital Library 2020: Internet Measurement Conference (IMC)
