Grace G. D. Han, Awarded Sloan Research Fellowship


Grace G. D. Han, an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Brandei University has been named among the recipients of this year (2022) Sloan Research Fellowship. 

Han is one of the 118 winners drawn from about fifty (50) universities in US and Canada for the prestigious award. 

The Sloan Research Fellowship is a programme design to help encourage and support the early career scholars and researchers who are seen as impacting now and having promising future to revolutionise their field of study. 

The Fellowship targets PhD holders, scholars and researchers in the filed of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Neuroscience, Economics, Computer Science and Earth Systems Science  believing that they are vital to the development of the nation health and prosperity. 

Han is being honour with this award for her outstanding performance and immense contribution in chemistry.  

Grace G. D. Han, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry Brandeis University. She hold a Post-Doctoral degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology,  Doctoral degree from same institution and a BS from
Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) in South Korea.

Her research interests is focuses on developing a wide range of versatile and unique optically controlled molecular switches for energy conversion/storage and optoelectronic applications. 

Naming Han one of the Sloan Research Fellowship winners  eligible her access to a grant of $75,000 which will be used on her research project within a two years period.
