The handing over of the complex was performed by Architect. Sunday Oyewole, who represented the Contractor, Arc. Mobolaji Adeniji and Associates.
It should be recalled that the foundation of the building was laid in 2015 when the Chancellor, High Chief Dr. Mrs. Winifred Awosika, OON, and some members of these school Board of Trustees flagged off the project.
The project was embarked on to create a world class learning environment for the law students and thereby becoming a world-class University known for outstanding training of a new generation leaders.
Chrisland University Law College is to train new generation of leaders, imparted the knowledge and skills in law in them to facilitate and to analyse both sides of societal issues and to devise the best solution based on strong reasoning and critical thinking.
Consisting of two floors suspended on a basement floor, the College of Law Complex houses some classrooms, offices, seminar rooms, staff common room, 150-capacity auditorium, library, e-library, judges chambers, and a 150-capacity Moot Court.
The building is part of the mission of the University to create a learning environment that nurtures a sound moral and intellectual culture that attracts an excellent blend of faculty across the world, and deploys resources to educate the total person.
Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mrs. Chinedum Peace Babalola commended the efforts of the Chancellor, High Chief Dr Mrs Winifred Awosika and her vision of imparting the educational sector positively.
She equally commended the Board of Trustees of the institution for bringing the college of law building into reality.
While lauding the project the Ag. Dean, College of Law, Dr. Folake Tafita commended the Works Department for their pioneering efforts at overseeing qualitative deliverables and task completion of the building by the contractors.
Dr. Tafita also commended the contractors for handling over to Chrisland University one of the most magnificent edifice any University can ever parade in Nigeria on time.
