Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Engineering Courses,  Direct Entry,  cut off mark
Presently the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUSok) parades ten (10) faculties among which is Faculty of Engineering and Environmental Design (FEED).

The Faculty of Engineering and Environmental Design (FEED) approval from the National University Commissions’(NUC’s) to offer engineering and environmental design courses covers just four programmes, three of which are engineering courses.  

Listed below are the three engineering courses on offer at the Faculty of Engineering and Environmental Design, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto and the entry requirements which include the O'level and JAMB subjects combination.

Admissions Requirements 

Admission requirements for the three courses above are same the differences are in the cut off  mark. 

O'level Candidates 

Minimum of credit passes in five subjects which must include: 
  • Mathematics 
  • English Language 
  • Physics 
  • Chemistry or 
  • Technical Drawing 
  • Applied Mathematics 
  • Further Mathematics 
  • Biology 
  • Geography 
  • Economics

JAMB Subjects Combination  

  • Mathematics 
  • Physics 
  • Chemistry 
  • English Language 

Post UTME Screening 

Candiadates for any of the above mentioned engineering courses at the UDUSok must participate in the post UTME screening.  


Cut Off Mark

Your average score from the three of the examinations mentioned above are calculated to determine whether you make cut off mark for the engineering course applied for. 

An O'level candidate must make the cut off mark of the Department of engineering he applied to before he could be considered for a provisional admission. 


Direct Entry Admission 

For direct entry applicants the Usmanu Danfodiyo University accept minimum of: 

GCE Advance Level: Two (2) 'A' Level passes in Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry 

JUPEB: good points in three subjects which are Mathematics Physics and Chemistry. 

IJMB: good points from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 

National Diploma (ND): minimum of lower credit in relevant engineering programmes. 

Higher National Diploma (HND): minimum of lower credit in relevant engineering courses. Holder of upper credit could be considered to 300 level of the course applied for. 

In addition to the above, the direct entry applicants must have O'level results as stated above. 

All the three engineering courses on offer at Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto are approved by the National University Commission (NUC) and duly accredited by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and so a qualification earn from UDUS is accepted anywhere in Nigeria.
