The Department of Mechanical Engineering UDUSOK is established with aim to produce highly skill Mechanical Engineers who are willing and able to solve many problems face by humanity by designing developing, built and test machines, tools or equipment capable of elevating the problems.
Listed on this page are the minimum entry requirements accepted by the Department of Mechanical Engineering into the undergraduate programme. This includes for the O'level and direct entry applicants and the JAMB and WAEC subjects combination.
Mechanical Engineering Entry Requirements UDUSOK
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUSOK) accept five (5) O'level credit passes in the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- English Language and one other science subject probably
- Technical Drawing
- Biology
- Further Mathematics
- Geography
- Agricultural Science
The five subjects must not be more than at two sittings from:
- WASSCE
- NECO/SSCE
- GCE O'level and
- NABTEB
JAMB's Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME)
O'level applicants must write JAMB, make the required cut off mark and the cut off mark for the post UTME test (if conducted) for the Department of Mechanical Engineering, UDUSOK.

Direct Entry Admission Requirements(UDUSOK)
- GCE Advance Level (A/L): at least credit passes in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry
- IJMB: good points in Mathematics Physics, and Chemistry
- JUPEB: good points in Mathematics Physics and Chemistry
- National Diploma (ND): upper credits in relevant engineering courses
- Higher National Diploma (HND): lower credit in relevant engineering courses.
Mechanical Engineering bat Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto is a.ccredited by the National University Commission (NUC) and the COREN.
Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering is awarded on the completion of the study.
