IBBUL Signed MOU With Century Global Synergy to Build New Hostels

The Management of lbrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBUL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Century Global Synergy
solution for the building of new four blocks of three storey (two blocks for male students
and two blocks for female students
respectively) hostels on the campus.

In a welcome address, the Vice
Chancellor, Professor Abu Kasim Adamu applauded the funding partners, Century Global Synergy saying when the multi-
billion naira project is completed, it would reduce hostel accommodation challenges to the barest minimum.

Professor Adamu noted that about eighty to ninety percent of students are staying off campus and the accommodations is even too
expensive, but with this new development, it would reduce some stress.

The Vice Chancellor then appreciated the Management of the 
Company for showing interest in
partnering and collaborating with with the University, stressing that after completing the project, the name of the company would be written in gold.

Speaking at the occasion, Managing Director, Century Global Synergy, Mr. Lawal Madaki said the company would mobilise to the site immediately and the project would be executed within twelve months.

He maintained that, when completed the project would be four blocks of three storey building; male and female hostels of five
hundred and seventy six rooms. Forty-eight rooms per floor, amounting to one hundred and forty-four rooms per block.

Mr. Madaki assured the University
Management that the company has all it takes to carry out the project without waste of time. He added that after completing the
project, the company want to also build a mini refinery for students practical as their contributions to the growth of education.

In a vote of thanks, the Registrar of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai (IBBUL) Alhaji
Musa Ango Abdullahi thanked the
initiators of the project and the funding partner for seeing the University worthy to invest in.
He assured the management of the
company that the University would ensure an enabling working environment.

Alhaji Abdullahi also hoped and prayed that the company will keep to its words and also ensure quality structures that would stand the test of time.

Some of the highlights of the ceremony was the singing of the memorandum by the two parties and visit to the site.
