Odili was elected at the 51st Annual General and Scientific Conference of the Nigerian Cardiac Society which took place recently at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
The Nigerian Cardiac Society is one of the oldest medical specialist societies in the country with membership of over five hundred, spanning across various disciplines that are concerned with cardiac care.
Odili is a professor of Cardiovascular Medicine and Lead Investigator, Circulatory Health Research Laboratory.
He is Acting Dean, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, University of Abuja.
He is also Honorary Consultant Cardiologist,University of Abuja Teaching Hospital; vice president, Nigerian Hypertension Society; and chair, International Society of Hypertention African Regional Advisory Group.
