NYSC Signed MOU with Gombe State University on Skill Acquisition

The management of the Gombe State University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on the training of students and corps member in skill acquisition and entrepreneurship. 

By signing of the agreement the Gombe State University becomes one of the many centres throughout Nigeria where the youth corpers  could get training in skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development making use of the state of art facilities and expertise the institution have to offer. 

Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) is a programme introduces into NYSC orientation course content in 2012. Among many other things, the programme aim to help the young graduates acquire vocational skill by way of facilitating training at a well equipped training centre and to receive mentoring from highly experience and successful entrepreneurs so they could be able to stand on their own. 

The signing of MOU between the  Gombe State University and the NYSC witness many events which include inspection of NYSC guard of honour and the facilities meant for the training. 

Among many dignitaries at signing of MOU ceremony include the representative of the Director General of the NYSC, Brig Gen Fadah, the Vice Chancellor  of the University of Gombe Professor Aliyu Usman El-Nafaty, MBBCH, FWACS, FICS, OFR. some staff of the institution and NYSC members.
