Certificate Course in Certified Healthcare Assistant and Entry Requirements | LCU Ibadan

Lead City University Hospital and The College of Health Technology, now offers a Certified Healthcare Assistant (CHA) Certificate Programme. 

• Programme: Certified Healthcare Assistant 

• College: Health Technology 

• Duration: two (2) years 

• Qualifications Awarded: Certificate in Certified Healthcare Assistant 

• Tuition: N75,000/semester 

The Certified Healthcare Assistant programme is designed to provide students with an overview of the knowledge, skills and values necessary to function as caregivers in a variety of health care settings.

Skills and techniques to be taught will cover areas such as Nutrition, exercise, advanced adult patient hygiene procedures, palliative care, and environmental health and safety procedures among other skills.  

The Certificate can be used as an additional qualification for those who wish to work in healthcare, both locally and abroad.  

The lecture schedule will be very flexible to allow students work and study.

The programme is open to applicants from all fields. Current staff and students of Lead City University can also apply. 

Entry Requirements 

Minimum of five (5) O/Level Credit pass which must include: 

• Chemistry 
• Biology and 
• English Language 

Not more than at two sittings from one or two of the following:  

• West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) 
• NECO/SSCE 
• General Certificate of Education
