Rodney Goliath was part of the students of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences who were graduated on the 27th of March 2023.
The elated rapper while sharing the moment of his joy on social media writes:
“I am not just a rapper. I am a rapper with a degree,”
He them share the pictures he took with members of his family to mark the occasion after he graduated at March Stellenbosch University graduation ceremony for the Faculty for Art and Social Sciences.
Going by the name Rotas, his music and inspirational lyrics became well-loved in South African households after he appeared on the TV show ‘Maak my Famous’ presented by Emo Adams.
Originally from Paarl, Rodney says before enrolling at SU he had to decide whether he should focus on music or study. He chose the latter and does not regret his decision one bit! He received his degree in Drama and Theatre studies.
