10 Best Medical Scientist in South Africa

Ten academics from various university institutions have been recognized as been the best medical scientists in the field of medicine in South Africa. 

The second edition of the Research.com recognizes these academics as Best Medical Scientists for the year 2023 based on their number of research publication and citation index. Citation index being how often their publication are cited and use by other medical scientists around the world.  

Seven among the ten scientists are link to the University of Cape Town and this make the institution the best in South Africa for medical science and research. Only one female scientist is on the list and she represent the best female medical scientist in South Africa.
