Work is completed at The Ohio State University to start ten new courses comes Autumn semester this year to help develop the semiconductor industry in US.
The ten new courses which is aim to help produce skill workforce needed in the ever growing semiconductor industry in the US especially in Ohio are two undergraduate minors, two undergraduate certificates and six graduate certificates and they are:

- Signal Processing
- Semiconductor Devices
Undergraduate Certificate
- Signal Processing Certificate
- Semiconductor Devices Certificate
Graduate Certificate
- Semiconductor Devices Certificate
- Fabrication Technology Certificate
- Semiconductor Optoelectronics Certificate
Graduate Certificate (Professional)
- Semiconductor Devices Certificate
- Fabrication Technology Certificate
- Semiconductor Optoelectronics Certificate
The management of The Ohio State University stated that on hand to make the newly introduce courses successful are faculty with semiconductor expertise and state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.
The undergraduate minor and certificate are open to the current undergraduate students who are interested in becoming part of the movement to develop semiconductor industry in United States. They are advice to meet their advisors for details.
The graduate certificate is open to both current graduate students and the professionals with at least and undergraduate degree in Engineering, Physical Science or Mathematics.
A report says that the expanding supply chain in the semiconductor industry will create upwards of 40,000 new jobs, many of which will be technical and so effort to create workforce to take up these new jobs is upon community colleges technical schools and university institutions of which the Ohio State University is already part of.
