Entry Requirements  

O'Level Qualifications Requirements 

The O'Level or school certificates holders should have minimum of credit passes in five subjects which must include: 

  • Mathematics 
  • English Language 
  • Physics
  • Chemistry and 
  • One other science subject which could be 
  • Technical Drawing 
  • Biology 
  • Further/Additional Mathematics 
  • Agricultural Science. 
The five subjects must be at not more than two sittings from one or two of the following exams 

  • WAEC
  • WASSCE 
  • NECO  

JAMB Subjects Combination 

O'Level applicants must sit for, pass and make the cut off mark for the  JAMB coordinated UTME. The UTME subjects combination are: 
  • Mathematics 
  • Chemistry
  • Physics and 
  • English Language   
This subjects combination is also applicable to post-UTME screening test if going to be staged. 

Direct Entry Requirements 

The following qualifications are accepted for direct entry application. 

  • GCE A' Level:  passes in Physics and Mathematics is required 
  • National Diploma (ND): upper credit in Mechanical Engineering or at other relevant engineering programmes
  • Hgher National Diploma: same as for ND. 
  • IJMB: good points in Mathematics and Physics and Chemistry   

The Mechanical  Engineering at Nigeria Army University is a five-year programme leading to the award of Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree honour.

The programme is accredited by the National University Commission (NUC) and the Council for the Regulations of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN)
