Biomedical Engineering is one of the seven engineering programmes at the School of Engineering and Technology, Kenyatta University. It is one of the rarely taught engineering programme in Kenya. Remember this programme is not totally the same as Biomedical Science.
Kenyatta University create the Department of Biomedical Engineering to graduate engineers with skill in the application of biological science and engineering to design, develop, repair and manage machines, tools and gadgets needed for the prompt and safe delivery of healthcare services. This programme is also refers to as Medical Engineering. All the expertise of a medical engineer is for the advancement of health sector.
