Civil engineering as a profession design, construct and maintain all buildings around us, bridges, dams, stadia, retaining structures, port and harbor facilities and so at the department students will take core courses such as construction materials, structural analysis and design and construction procedures and methods and more.

Entry Requirements Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Tukenya 

For the bachelor degree, Department of Structural and Construction Engineering requires: 

Holders of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)

  • KCSE mean C+ 
  • Mathematics C+ 
  • Physics C+ 
  • Chemistry C+ and 
  • English/Swahili or any of the group 3/4/5 subjects 
 OR 
  • KCSE mean C plus 
  • Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering.

Holders of Diploma

Higher diploma in: Civil Engineering  or other relevant engineering programmes.
