Kenyatta University is one of the top universities where engineering courses are offered in Kenya making use of state-of-art laboratories, libraries and workshops, highly experience academics and conducive learning environment. 

Despite being a prestigious higher institution of learning, the entry requirements for these engineering programmes allow for the average students to apply. The requirements are fashioned after the recommendation of the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS). 
  
The School of Engineering and Technology at Kenyatta University is established to help develop manpower able to fill critical engineering position to solve the nation problems without the need to call for the service of  expatriates.

  • BSC. Applied Computer Science 
  • B.SC Computer Science 
  • B.SC. Information Technology 

Entry Requirements, Engineering Programmes, Kenyatta University  

Listed below is the general minimum entry requirements from the holders of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) 

  • KCSE average C + (plus) with at least 
  • B+ Maths  
  • B+ in Physics
  • B plain in Chemistry and English 

OR 

  • KCSE C plain with 
  • Diploma with at least credit or pass in relevant engineering disciplines from a recognized institution 

Note: Departmental requirements could be applicable. 

Accreditation: 

All the engineering programmes as mentioned above are accredited by the Kenya's Commission for University Education (CUE) and the Engineering Board of Kenya (EBK).
