QUT Awarded $382,440 By ARC for Research Into Australian Digital Gaming Industry

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) have been awarded a fund to the sum of $382,440 by the Australian Research Council for a new research project to be undertaken by the early career researchers from the institution. 

The Australian Research Council (ARC) Chief Executive Officer, Ms Judi Zielke PSM, announced the award of the fund on the 25th of August 2023. It is part of the more than $86 million in funding for 200 new research projects to be undertaken as part of the ARC Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) scheme.

The fund of Three Hundred and Eighty Two Thousands, Four Hundred and Forty Dollars ($382,440) awarded the Queensland University of Technology is aim at research project in the area of digital gaming. 

The research project outcome is intended to address the proper regulation of the Australian digital game industry, the best practice against harmful advertisement ensuring effective and ethical ways of safeguarding the Australian community against risks like surveillance and predatory design.
