The award was presented to UNILORIN at an event held at the Abuja Intercontinental Hotel on September 25th and 26th, 2023,
Other recipients of the award in the university category were the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Akwa which was announced the best while the University of Calabar (UNICAL) which was announced the third best.
