Effort of the management of the Federal University of Technology of Akure (FUTA) to produce graduates with entrepreneurship spirit, job creators instead of job seekers is yielding result and not in a small way.
Two members of the alumni of the institution who are demonstrating what they have learnt to be a successful job creator/entrepreneur in real life have just been announced among the winners of 25under25, an annual award program dedicated to celebrate young people, under 25 years old Nigeria entrepreneurs who are doing well in their business career.
Ojapinwa Rachael Olamide: De'bella Creation Limited.
Ojapinwa Racheal is the founder of De'bella Creation Limited, a medium scale bag making company she started when she was at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA). She earned a BTech in Forestry and Wood Technology from the institution in 2022.
De'bella Creation Limited is based in Lagos and it specialises in making fashionable, various shapes and sizes of leather bags, fabric bags and bag souvenirs for businesses and corporate organisations.
Rachael wish to make De'bella, a business she started in 2020 by making bag for herself and friends a household name. The business has grown from one-man company to having a staff strength of 7 vibrant youths ( 3 full-time and 4 part-time). In 2022, De'bella business was selected as one of the 10 most innovative Businesses in Ondo state.
Oluwadunsin Bolaji Precious: Dunsincraft Collection Limited
Is a 2019 graduate of Biology/Biological Science from Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) and she is the founder of Dunsincraft Collection Limited, a company she started in 2018 while in school.
The company which is in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State is into using local fabric especially ankara and kente to make several fashionable products like handbags, backpacks, souvenirs, laptop bags and more.
Aside making various products with fabrics, Dunsincraft Collection Limited is also into empowering young ladies and women by training them how to make different craft products, thereby making them productive and self independence.
Oluwadunsin is a prestigious member of the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), a United State Consulate
