Olugbenga Anubi, UNILAG Alumni Promoted Associate Professor at FAMU-FSU

An alumni of the Department of System Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Lagos (UNILAG) has been promoted with tenure in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Florida A&M Univeraity and Florida State University (FAMU-FSU) in United States of America. 

Olugbenga M. Anubi formerly an Assistant Professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering is now an Associate Professor. 

Professor Olugbenga Anubi was among the eight (8) faculty members jointly appointed by Florida A&M and Florida State universities that got promoted or granted tenure for spring 2024.  This promotion is a way of recognizing their dedication and their support in the mission and success of the college, a report from FAMU-FSU says. 

Professor Olugbenga Anubi  is a faculty member of the Center for Advanced Power Systems (CAPS) and a co-director of the Decision & Secure Systems Group at the Florida State University. He obtained his B.Sc (First Class Honors) in Systems Engineering from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Nigeria while he received his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Florida, Gainesville. 

His research interest span the area of Vehicle Dynamics and Control, Robotics  Resilient, Robust and Adaptive Control Systems and Real-time Optimization. 

The seven other promoted faculty members are: A. Rams Ramamoorthy, Ph.D, Jonathan Clark, Ph.D., Yanshuo Sun, Ph.D., Christian Hubicki, Ph.D., Arda Vanli, Ph.D., Juyeong Choi, Ph.D. and Huixuan Wu, Ph.D
