Rector Villanova Polytechnic, Imesi-Ile Confered With Multiple Awards in A Single Day

The entire management of Villanova Polytechnic, Imesi-Ile, Osun State were happy to announce to the public the conferment of multiple awards on their Rector Professor Ikechukwu Anthony Kanu in a single day by The Commonwealth University of UK.

The announcement which Villanova Polytechnic management team made via social media says Professor Kanu Ikechukwu Anthony was honour with:

  • Honourary Doctorate Degree in Education by the Commonwealth University.
  • Master Class Certification on E-learning by UNESCO.
  • Fellow of Commonwealth of Academy, Education, Science and Art.
These three newly conferred awards add to the collection of several awards the Professor of Religion and Cultural Studies already have.

Among many of the several awards Professor Anthony Kanu already have are:

  • Afrianwatch Grand National Patriot by African Watch Nigeria 2018
  • Patron of the Arts by Faculty of Arts Nnambi Azikiwe University.
  • Oracle of Wisdom by Department of Philosophy and Religion Studies, Tansian University.
  • Distinguish Academic of the Year by Society of Research and Academic, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
  • Orator Gold Merit Award by African Watch Nigeria.
  • Best Paper Award by American Journal of Contemporary Ideas. 2013
Professor Ikechukwu becomes the Rector of Villanova Polytechnic, Imesi-Ile some months after the learning institution was taken over by The Catholic Church Diocese of Oshogbo in 2017.

Prior to becoming the Rector of Villanova Polytechnic, Imesi-Ile Prof. Kanu was an Executive Secretary of Association of African Traditional Religion and Philosophy.

He was also once the Editor in Chief of Igwebuike: An African Journal of Art and Humanities.

Professor Ikechukwu combine the work of a Rector with an Editor in Chief of Journal of African Studies and Sustainable Development

He was also an Adjunct Professor at Augustinian Institute of Philosophy.
