Note: University of Queensland isn't a private but public university and it engineering programmes are available at it's St. Lucia campus
The Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology paraded best of the best teaching and learning facilities in Queensland and that is one of the reasons the QS world university rankings (2020) says
- UQ is 75th best in the world by engineering programmes and
- 5th best in Australia
While the university is:
- 45th best globally and
- Having high level of research output.
Times Higher Education's World University Ranking (2020) says Queensland University:
- Engineering Programme is 4th best in Australia while the university is
- 66th best globally
- Australia Ranking: 4th

All the programmes above last for a duration of 4 years, graduating with Bachelor of Engineering (Honour) degree. Area of Major will be specified on the certificate. They are all fully accredited by Engineers Australia. The graduates can practise anywhere in the world.

Admission/Entry Requirements
To be given a placement to study one of the engineering programme at University of Queensland an applicant must:
- Have minimum entry requirement. That is he must have Queensland year 12 or it equivalent qualification: China, Gaokoa; South African National Senior Certificate; India, CICSE or CBSE or State Board Maharashi or West Bengal; Hong Kong, Diploma of Secondary Education Examination; Pakistan, Inter/High Secondary Certificate; Singapore, A Level; Sri-Lanka, A Level; South Korea, Republic of Korea High School Diploma or College of Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT)
- Applicants must have the programme minimum entry score.
- He must also make subject prerequisite. That is, he must present specific subjects an applicant need to have passed to be considered for an admission. In this case (engineering programmes), they are Mathematics B, English plus one of either Physics or Chemistry
- If an applicant mother tongue is not English language or second speaking language, then he must be able to provide English proficiency test qualification making minimum score required for the programme.
