Auchi Polytechnic has about nine of such courses, they are all listed on this page and their entry requirements including subjects combination you need to have to do them.

Entry Requirements (OND)

All the above mentioned courses have same entry requirements. Except on some special occasions.

To be eligible for admission to study one of the courses, a student must show an evidence of completing senior secondary school by presenting credit passes in at least five subjects in one sitting or six subjects in two sittings in one or two of the following examinations:

  • West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
  • NECO conducted Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) or 
  • General Certificate of Examination (GCE)
  • National Business Certificate (NBC)
The Subjects must include:
  • Mthematics (Compulsory)
  • English Language (Compulsory) and
  • Literature in English - compulsory for Mass Communication
  • Government
  • Economics - compulsory for Accounting, Estate Management and Urban and Regional Plaining
  • Commerce/Economics - compulsory for Business Administration
  • Yoruba/ Igbo
  • Home Economics/ Food and Nutrition
  • Civic Education
  • History
  • Biology or 
  • Agric Science
The student must make the UTME cut off mark.

UTME Subjects
  • English Language (compulsory)
  • Economics (compulsory)
  • Government or 
  • Yoruba or 
  • Literature in English or
  • Civic Education or
  • Mathematics or
  • Commerce
The student must also pass and make the required cut off mark for Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo post UTME examination.

Entry Requirements (HND) 


  • National Diploma (ND) from NBTE accredited institutions in course relevant to course to be studied plus
  • Evidence of one year industrial attachment or two years industrial attachment for those with pass in their ND result plus
  • Senior Secondary results as stated above.
