At present, ABUAD is the only private university among the three universities that offers aeronautics and astronautics in Nigeria.
The programme which is otherwise refers to as Aerospace Engineering is approved by the National University Commission and is available on JAMB to be chosen by students who desire as a career. It is one of the engineering programmes offers by the institution.
Below are listed the minimum entry requirements accepted to by ABUAD to study undergraduate degree of the programme and this include the O'level and JAMB UTME subjects combination an applicant must passed.
School Certificate Holders (Subjects Combination)
Five O'level passes which must be at not more than two sittings in the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- English Language
- Physics
- Chemistry and one of
- Technical Drawing
- Further Mathematics
- Applied Mathematics
- Biology
- Geography
An applicant must also pass the JAMB coordinated UTME making the required cut off mark.

ABUAD Post UTME Screening
An applicant for this programme must sit for and pass ABUAD post UTME screen making the cut off mark for the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering.
Direct Entry
From direct entry applicants, ABUAD requires the following:
GCE A'Level: passes in three subjects which must be Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
National Diploma (ND): upper credit in relevant engineering programmes
Higher National Diploma (HND): minimum of lower credit is accepted plus
