The impact of engineering in our society is immeasurable. It  contribute immensely to the various advancement we see around us today such as the development of electric car, high speed train, telemedicine, satellite communication system, floating houses, UAV and more.  

Moi University decided to establish School of Engineering for the purpose of graduating highly skill manpower in various engineering fields for the development of the nation and for the creation of wealth.  


List of Engineering Programmes Moi University 

Listed below are all programmes the School of Engineering at Moi University offers at undergraduate degree level. 


Each of the programmes above are on full time study mode, delivered on campus and take a minimum of five (5) years to be completed, while Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree is awarded to successfull students on completion. 


Admission Requirements 

The minimum admission requirements stated on this page is for the holders of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and for the holders of Diploma qualifications. 

It represent general entry requirements, there may be department requirements. 


Holders of KCSE

  • Minimum mean grade of C+(Plus) at KCSE and 
  • C+ (plus) in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English/Kiswahili or Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences and English.

OR

  • “A” level certificate with at least 2 principal passes and a subsidiary in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. 

Holders of Diploma

  • KNEC Diploma in the relevant field or its equivalent from an institution recognized by Moi University Senate
  • KNEC Higher National Diploma in the relevant field or its equivalent from an institution recognized by Moi University Senate.


Accreditation  

All the programmes listed above are duly accredited by the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and the Commission for University Education (CUE).
