Below is the detail of O'level and Direct Entry admission requirements to study for a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Adeleke University including the JAMB and SSCE subjects combination.


Admission Requirements

Candidates can seek admission to study for Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Adeleke University, Ede by:

  • Ordinary Level (O'level) or 
  • Direct Entry

Ordinary Level (O'level) Applicants

Ordinary Level candidates must have a minimum of credit pass from five subjects which must include:
  • Mathematics
  • English Language
  • Physics
  • Chemistry and one other science subjects which can be
  • Technical Drawing
  • Further Mathematics
  • Biology
  • Agricultural Science.
The five subjects must be earned at not be more than two sittings from one or two of the following O'level examinations:
  • West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE)
  • Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or
  • General Certificate of Education (GCE)
  • NABTEB

JAMB's Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination

Ordinary Level candidates must write JAMB coordinated Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and make the cut off mark.

JAMB Subjects Combination are:
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry and 
  • English Language

Post UTME Screening

Candidates must also participate in the Adeleke University coordinated post UTME screening and make the cut off mark for the Department of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Candidates that get admission using ordinary level results are admitted to 100 level of the programme.

Direct Entry Applicants

The following qualifications are accepted to apply for admission to study Electrical and Electronics Engineering through Direct Entry.

IJMB: Adeleke University accept IJMB with good grade.

JUPEB: is also accepted.

General Certificate of Education Advance Level (GCE A/L): Good passes in Physic, Mathematics and Chemistry.

National Diploma (ND) minimum of upper credit in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or other relevant engineering or science programmes.

University Diploma: a university diploma, minimum of credit is also accepted to study this programme.

Higher National Diploma (HND): upper credits in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or other relevant engineering disciplines.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a five (5) years programme to those admitted to 100 level at Adeleke University, leading to the award of Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree certificate. The programme is fully accredited by COREN and NUC.
