- Holders of Pre-National Diploma result in the relevant subjects may also be considered for the programme.
Applicants must sit for JAMB's coordinated Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) make the required cut-off mark.

HND Minerals and Petroleum Resources Engineering Entry Requirements, Kwara State Polytechnic
- O'level results as National Diploma as stated above
- National Diploma result. Minimum of LOWER CREDIT
- Evidence of one (1) year post-ND industrial work experience.
- Pass in ND results may be accepted but must come with a minimum of two (2) years post-ND industrial work experience.
- The candidate should also request his or her institution to forward his or her official academic transcript under confidential cover to the Registrar, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
