The Polytehnic teaches engineering courses to produce highly skill technicians and technologist who will be responsible to the technology development of the country through their works in the public and the private sector of the economic.
Another aim of teaching engineering was borned out of a desire to produce technicians and technologists who can be self reliance to establish their own businesses and thereby creating more jobs opportunity for the job seekers.

Entry Requirements
- O'level results as stated for the admission to study ND
- Minimum of lower credit in ND results from Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti or upper credit from other recognised polytechnics may be considered for admission.
- Evidence of post-ND one-year industrial training programme
- Applicants with pass but not less than two years (2) post -ND industrial training programme may be considered for an admission.
