The Department of Chemical Engineering Technology, Lagos State Polytechnic LASPOTECH teaches this course with aim to train the students with all they should know about becoming a professional and successful Chemical Engineers.
Listed below are the minimum entry requirements to study for the National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) of the Chemical Engineering Technology at Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH). This include the O'level and JAMB's subjects combination.
LASPOTECH ND Chemical Engineering Entry Requirements
To be considered for an admission to study for National Diploma (ND) Chemical Engineering Technology at Lagos State Polytechnic, an applicant must have minimum of Five O level credits in relevant subjects which must include:
- Physics
- Mathematics
- English Language
- Chemistry and one of the
- Technical Drawing
- Economics
- Agricultural Science
- Further Mathematics
- Geography
- Biology
- Data Processing
- Dyeing and Bleaching
- Basic Electronics/Electricity
The five O'level credit passes must be at not more than two sittings from one or two of the following examination qualifications
- Senior Secondary Certificate Education (SSCE)
- West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
- General Certificate of Education (GCE) or
- National Technical Certificate
JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
Candidates must sit for and make the JAMB coordinated UTME and LASPOTECH post-JAMB cut off mark as would be dictated from time to time.
JAMB Subjects Combination
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Mathematics and
- English Language
Note: candidates must have chosen the Lagos State Polytechnic as their first choice.
HND Chemical Engineering Entry Requirements
Five O'level result as required for ND programme
National Diploma (ND) in the same discipline with minimum of lower credit.
Evidence of one (1) year industrial training programme
The Lagos State Polytechnic may consider those with pass in their ND results for admission but must be with some years of post ND industrial training
LASPOTECH also make it mandatory for all applicants to consult the Institution's prospectus on the portal or in hard copy to ascertain their qualification for courses for which they are applying
