The First Student Ever To Be Admitted into LASUSTECH Revealed
The course at Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) is taught at National Diploma (ND) and at Higher National Diploma (HND) which translate to using four (4) years (eight semesters) to complete the course at (HND).
Listed below are the minimum entry requirements to study for the ND and HND of the Civil Engineering Technology at the Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH), Ikorodu, Lagos. This include the O'level and JAMB's subjects combination.
Entry Requirements National Diploma (ND) Civil Engineering Technology
The Department of Civil Engineering Technology, Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) requires credit passes in five O'level subjects which must includes
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- English Language and any one other science related subjects from
- Technical Drawing
- Geography/Economics
- Further Mathematics
- Biology
- Agricultural Science or trade subjects which may be
- Building Construction
- Woodwork
- Metal Work and
- Basic Electronics/Electricity
The five credit passes must be at not more than two sittings from one or two of the following examination qualifications:
- West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
- Senior Secondary Certificate Education (SSCE)
- General Certificate of Education (GCE) O'level or
- National Technical Certificate (NTC) or NABTEB in related trade subjects plus Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English Language.
Recognised and good pre-ND results in relevant programmes are also accepted for admission.
All applicants must sit for JAMB's Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and make the cut of mark for the Department of Civil Engineering.

Five O'level result as required for ND programme
National Diploma (ND) in the same discipline with minimum of lower credit.
Evidence of one (1) year industrial training programme
The Lagos State Polytechnic may consider those with pass in their ND results for admission but must be with some years of post ND industrial training
LASPOTECH also make it mandatory for all applicants to consult the Institution's prospectus on the portal or in hard copy to ascertain their qualification for courses for which they are applying
