The Department of Agricultural and Bio-resources Engineering at FUTO admits students for a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree through Direct Entry and JAMB/UTME.
Listed below are the minimum entry requirements for the JAMB/UTME applicants and the Direct Entry applicants, plus the JAMB subjects combination and O'level subject combination.
JAMB/UTME Applicants
Five O'level credit passes in relevant subjects which are:
- Mathematics
- English Language
- Physics
- Chemistry and one of
- Technical Drawing
- Further Mathematics
- Biology
- Agricultural Science
- Geography
The five subjects which must not be more than at two sittings can be from one or two of the following examinations qualification
- West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
- Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE)
- General Certificate of Education (GCE O'level) or
- NABTEB
Applicants must sit for and make the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and FUTO coordinated post UTME screening cut off mark for the Department of Agricultural and Bio-resources Engineering.
JAMB Subjects Combination
- Mathematics
- English Language
- Physics and
- Chemistry
Direct Entry Candidates
FUTO School of Engineering and Engineering Technology accept the following qualifications for Direct Entry to 200 level or 300 level of Agricultural and Bio-resources Engineering.
- National Diploma (ND): Upper Credit in relevant engineering programmes
- Higher National Diploma (HND): Upper Credit
- Joint Universities Preliminarily Examination Board (JUPEB)
FUTO also conduct pre-Degree programme which qualify students to 100 level.
All Direct Entry applicants must satisfy O'level results requirement at stated above.
