Civil Engineering are taught at Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa on both the National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programme levels.

Each programme level lasted a duration of two (2) years within which there is a year break of which Student is to participate in the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES)


National Diploma (ND) Admission Requirement

Credit passes in five (5) subject at not more than two sitting from one or two of 

  • West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
  • Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE)
  • General Certificate of Examination (GCE) or 
  • NABTEB

 

WAEC or O'Level Subjects Combination

The five credit passes must be from

  • English Language
  • Mathematics 
  • Physics 
  • Chemistry and of the 
  • Biology/Agric Science
  • Economics /Commerce
  • Technical Drawing
  • Basic Electronics / Basic Electricity
  • Auto-Mechanics
  • Metal Works
  • Wood Work
  • Geography
An O'level applicant must sit for, pass both JAMB coordinated UTME and Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Post-UTME making the cut off mark for the Department of Civil Engineering.

JAMB's UTME Subjects Combination 

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry

Note: before an applicant could be considered for a provisional admission he must have chosen Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic as first choice or must be willing to change to the AOPE  as his first choice with JAMB.

Entry Requirements Higher National Diploma (HND)

National Diploma with at least lower credit in Civil Engineering from any accredited higher institutions plus O'level result as stated above.
