Unilorin Food & Bioprocess Engineering, Entry Requirements

Unilorin, food engineering, Bioprocess, entry requirements, JAMB, WAEC, direct entry, subjects combination
University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) Department of Food and Bioprocess Engineering teaches students how to apply mathematics, science, engineering and technology to the food manufacturing processes.

Food engineers do a lot of research, study, design and development on machines, tools, equipment that can enhance quality food production in large quantities and at cheap prices. They work with engineers from different disciplines, including food scientist to have a better results for their work.

Bioprocess is taught to accustom students with the engineering and technology of using complete living cells or their components (e.g., bacteria, enzymes, chloroplasts) to obtain desired products, especially in the food industry.

The Department of Food and Bioprocess Engineering is part of Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN). It awarded Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree to undergraduate students on successful completion of the five (5) years programme.

Food and Bioprocess Engineering being part of an engineering programmes is accredited by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and the National University Commission (NUC).

Listed below are the minimum entry qualifications accepted for admission to undergraduate Food and Bioprocess Engineering at University of Ilorin (UNILORIN). This include the O'level and Direct Entry Applicants plus the WAEC and JAMB's UTME subjects combination.
