It is a programme design by the College of Technology, University of Ibadan to train students and provide them with relevant interdisciplinary skills needed in the area of woodworking and processing. It accustomed students with wood physical and chemical properties and processing involves in turning them to commercially useable materials and products.
It takes minimum of five (5) years to complete studying for Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Wood Products Engineering at the University of Ibadan. Those given admission with higher qualifications can spend fewer years to complete the programme.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
O'level UTME Candidates
The University of Ibadan, accept five (5) credit passes from one sitting or six (6) credit passes from two sittings in the following O'level subjects:

- Physics and one or two of

- Further Mathematics

- Agricultural Science and
- Metal Work
- West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
- Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE)
- General Certificate of Education (GCE O'level) or
- NABTEB.
JAMB's Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
JAMB Subjects Combination
- Mathematics
- English Language
- Physics and
- Chemistry
Direct Entry Candidates
- General Certificate of Education (GCE A'Level): pass in Physics and Mathematics
- National Diploma (ND): Upper Credit in Wood Products Engineering or other relevant engineering programmes from government approved polytechnic or other higher institutions of learning.
- Higher National Diploma (HND): upper credit as in ND.
