Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology is offered as a ND and HND programme at Edo State Polytechnic, Usen. It forms part of seven (7) taught engineering programmes at the School of Engineering and Technology which have been in existence for more than seventeen (17) years.
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology give more attention to hand-on-work training, hence more reasons the the department engage industries in it teaching and learning activities.
Listed below are the minimum entry requirements accepted to study ND and HND Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the School of Engineering and Technology, Edo State Polytechnic, Usen. This include the WAEC O'level and JAMB subjects combination.
ND Electrical and Electronics Engineering Admission Requirements
Five O'level credit passes in the following subjects

- Mathematics

- English Language
- Chemistry any one science subjects from:
- Biology/Agricultural Science
- Technical Drawing
- Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity
- Auto Mechanics
- Metal Work
- Further Mathematics
- Geography
- Economics/Commerce.
*Note: the Edo State Polytechnic make first four (4) subject compulsory.
JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
An applicant for this programme must sit for UTME and post UTME screening making the required cut off mark for the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology

HND Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology is the only engineering programme taught at HND level at Edo State Polytechnic, USEN right now.
The minimum entry requirements are stated below.
- O'level results as stated for National Diploma (ND) above.
- National Diploma (ND) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with at least lower credit (CGPA 2.50) from Edo State Poly or other NBTE accredited institution in Nigeria.
- Prove of participation in mandatory post-ND industrial training.
- Transcript of result from applicants former institution. This applicable to those coming from other schools.
- Nation Diploma with pass may be considered for admission if with at least two (2) years work experience.
