LASU accept minimum of five (5) O'level credit passes for all courses: English Language is compulsory.

Jamb Subject Requirements:

Entry Requirements for Education Courses
- English Language
- A subject related to the course and
- Three other Art or
- Social Science subjects
But accounting, business, early childhood education, education management and economics education require credit pass in Mathematics.

Entry Requirements for Art Courses

- IRS/CRS/French/Yoruba/History/ and any other three subject from
- Arts
- Social Science

- Trade
- Literature in English is required for Theatre Art while
- Government is asked for History and International Studies.

At LASU each of the courses listed above are run for minimum duration of eight (8) semesters for those gained admission by O'level results, while those that were admitted through direct entry could spend fewer number of semesters to complete a course.
Bachelor of Art (BA) or Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree are awarded students on successful completion of a course.
