This advice was given by the Director of Sputnik News Agency, Russia, Vasily Pushkov during a virtual workshop titled: International Communications: Uniting diver experience."
According to him, the world is now a global village, and issues emanating from different regions of the world should now be of major concern to all and especially the media, hence, the dire need to avoid the spread of fake news through the media.
Mr. Vasily said, social media makes it easy to spread false information, which can have calamitous effects on both individuals and society as a whole. For this reason, it is important to fact-check sources of information before been spread.
